Photographing a Wedding at the Cleveland Hyatt Arcade could possibly be one of the most beautiful and unique venues we have in Downtown Cleveland. Believe me, there are a lot of great venues to choose from like the Renaissance and Westin Hotel just to name a couple. If you have never seen a wedding at the Hyatt, it can be downright awe-inspiring. The Grand entrance on both sides of the hotel, the 100 ft. glass ceiling, the strings of lights extending from one side to the other and it's Victorian-era architecture gives this place an endless possibility for the photographer. Not to mention the staff at the Hyatt pay close attention to the details, go above and beyond for their clients and their desire to host an event which requires very quick turns from wedding to reception. It's not easy for the staff, which is why I decided to blog about how great this place really is.
As a photographer the impressively long & high venue with gold trim and balconies circling the whole place, can overwhelm the creative mind on where to start. That's what happened to me when I first shot there years ago. I wanted to capture the bride and groom on those two sets of grand stairs - no wait... the top of the stairs, or maybe the bridge across the middle or maybe the staircase going down! It's like a flood of great ideas! The only problem would be running out of time for all the ideas.
Here are few of my favorite moments from this incredible place. I feel like these moments would not of been so impactful unless it was at the Hyatt Regency Cleveland at the Arcade.
